The Typography menu in the App Designer editor's Appearance section consolidates the Global default font setting, which lets you apply a single font across all controls in your app, and the Manage Fonts menu, which allows you to add or remove font files.
1.Access an app from the App Designer home page (either by creating a new app or selecting an existing one). You will be directed to the App Designer editor.
2.In the top menu, go to Settings, then select Appearance.
3.In the Appearance menu, click the Edit button next to the Typography configuration.

4. Select the default font for your app from the drop-down menu. A live preview of the selected font will be displayed within the panel.

In this example, the Monospace font is selected and its preview is shown in the top area of the panel.
5. Click Apply to save and apply changes to all text-based controls in your app.
Note: if you click Reset, you must click Apply to save changes.
To upload, delete, or manage fonts, click the Manage fonts link.

•Hover your mouse in the area next to Font Family to see where a configured font is inherited from.

•You can set a specific font for any control in your app from the control's Design tab. In this example, the Title control's font was changed from Monospace (global default) to Montserrat-Black.
To apply this change, click the Save button from the top ribbon.

•If a control's font differs from the Global default font, a Reset button will appear next to Font Family (you can restore the font back to the Global default font by clicking it). The Reset button located at the bottom of the panel to the right is used to reset the control's entire design configuration.
•If you modify the Global default font while some controls have custom fonts, a pop-up will prompt you to either Overwrite all or Keep custom styles - apply the new font only to controls without the custom Typography. Click Apply to confirm your choice.

Important Considerations •Font files with special characters in their file names cannot be uploaded. An error message will appear if the file name contains special characters. •Uploading a font file with an existing name will trigger a pop-up window with the option to overwrite or cancel. •If you delete the font set as the Global default font, a confirmation pop-up window will appear. If confirmed, the Global default font will be reset to Poppins. •Font configurations are also available in the Manage fonts menu in the App Designer home page. |
