Overview
By default, each user will have their Work Portal displayed in the Default language defined according to Bizagi's language hierarchy.
When having multi-language support, after having enabled additional languages as described at Multi-language support, each end user will be able to choose the language they want their Work Portal to be displayed in.
Language, dates and currency formats in the Work Portal
Keep in mind how Bizagi displays languages, currencies and dates formats for each end user:
•If the user doesn't select a language on their Portal Preferences (leaves the language as the default one) AND the Global Culture in Bizagi Studio is left as Default; THEN the Work Portal will use the language of the end user's browser.
Keep in mind that the Work Portal is supported in 11 languages. Each of them has a default currency and date format. If the browser is not in the 11 languages supported it will be displayed in English.
•If the user sets a language in their Portal Preferences AND the Global Culture in Bizagi Studio is left as Default; THEN the Work Portal will use the language set by the user for all menus, dates and currency formats.
•If the user doesn’t select a language on their Portal Preferences (leaves the language as the default one) AND a Global Culture is set in Bizagi Studio THEN the Work Portal will use the Global Culture's definition for all menus language, dates and currency format.
•If the user sets a language in their Portal Preferences AND a Global Culture is set in Bizagi Studio THEN the Work Portal menus and dates will be displayed in the language chosen by the user and currency format will be defined by the Global Culture.
Choosing a language
To choose the particular language you want your Work Portal to display, log in to Bizagi with your personal account and click the Preferences menu option.
Select your preference from the Language drop-down list and click Update.
Recall that only the enabled languages are listed.
Click close.
You may need to refresh your browser in order to view changes.
When you choose a language for your work portal, it may happen that the some resources are not localized. In that case, take into account the following language hierarchy:
•The first language considered for the localization is the one chosen by the user in the Work Portal. Take into account that Bizagi uses the ISO 639-1 standard to name languages. This standard uses four letters: the first two letters identify the root language and the second ones identify the country. For example: es-CO (Colombian Spanish).
•If no localization has been defined for the language chosen (i.e es-CO), Bizagi will use the localization defined for the root language (i.e "es").
•Next language considered for localization is the language defined in the global culture. This language will be considered in case that no language was selected by the user in the Work Portal, or if the localization in the root language does not exist for the specific object.
oTake into account that if no language is defined in the global culture, Bizagi will use en-US (American English).
•If an object is not localized in the global culture's language, Bizagi will use the base language. That is, en (English).
•Finally, if none of the conditions above is met, Bizagi will localize using the display name defined in the development environment.

The localization logic is done for each resource. We strongly suggest that if a language is defined either in the Work Portal or in the global culture, make sure to have all the resources localized for that specific language. Take into account that some of the objects are already localized in the languages supported by Bizagi. However, the rest of the resources (i.e processes names, tasks names, etc.) must be localized by you. To learn how to localize your processes and their objects, click here. |
