Process controls

Query forms can include special information to serve as search criteria or results criteria, regarding the cases additionally to the data model. This information is include in the Form through Controls known as Process Controls.

 

Process controls are divided in two groups:

 

Process Filters: Including searching for a specific Application, a specific Process, information related to Tasks and information related to Cases.

Users: Including searching for information about the Creator, Current and Previous users.

On the Advanced tab of the Process Filters and User controls there is a Property called Default value.

With it, you can define a value to be automatically chosen as the end user opens the Query. This is useful to save some time or to set searching criteria to create specific queries.

 

These is the list of special Query controls:

 

General controls

Description

Application

This control allows you to select the application in which you would like to search the cases. A combo is provided with the list of applications in Bizagi.

We recommend setting a default value for it.

Process

This control allows you to search all the cases that belong to a specific Process. The Query provides a combo-type control with a list of all the Processes of the project.

We recommend setting a default value for it.

Task controls

Current Task

 

 

 

This control allows you to search all the cases that are currently at a specific activity. The query form provides a combo-type attribute with a list of all the manual Activities and Intermediate Event.

Previous Task

This control allows you to search all the cases that had just executed a specific activity. The query form provides a combo-type attribute with a list of all the manual  Activities and Intermediate Events.

Entry Date

This control allows you to search by the date of creation of the tasks.

This control can be set as a range (To - From) configured in the Basic tab.

It can have a minimum, maximum or default value set  in the Advanced tab.

Expiry Date

This control enables the search for the expiration date of the activities.

This control can be set as a range (To - From) configured in the Basic tab.

It can have a minimum, maximum or default value set  in the Advanced tab.

Task State

This attribute allows you to select the state of the pending tasks of the cases to be searched. The Query Form provides a radio-type attribute with the following options: Expired, Expires Today, Expires in the future or All.

When all the states are searched, all the cases are searched even if they do not have activities pending. The search result displays the icon that identifies the state of each of the case tasks in the State column.

Case controls

Case Creation Date

This control allows you to search by case creation date.

This control can be set as a range (To - From) configured in the Basic tab.

It can have a minimum, maximum or default value set  in the Advanced tab.

Case Creator

This control allows you to search by the Full Name of the User who created the case. The Query Form provides a Join Search Dialog-type attribute to carry out an approximate search for the user by Full Name.

Case ID

This control allows you to search by case id.

This control can be set as a range (To - From) configured in the Basic tab.

It can have a minimum, maximum or default value set  in the Advanced tab.

It can be the same as the Case number unless the case number is customized.

Case Number

This control allows you to search by a customized Case number.

Queries using this criteria can be exact or approximate, and can be configured in the Basic tab.

Case Solution Date

This control allows you to search by case solution date.

This control can be set as a range (To - From) configured in the Basic tab.

It can have a minimum, maximum or default value set  in the Advanced tab.

Case State

This control allows you to select the state of the cases to be searched. The query form provides a radio-type control with the following options:

All, closed, pending or Canceled.

 

When all the states are searched, the query result displays the icon identifying the state of each of the case activities in the State column:

Closed Cases

Canceled (invalidated) Cases

Pending

oGreen: On Time.

oYellow: At Risk

oRed: Overdue.

User controls

Creator  

This control allows you to search for the User  who created the case. Searches using this criterion can be exact or approximate.

Current User

This control allows you to search for the User currently working on the case. Searches using this criterion can be exact or approximate.

Previous User

This control allows you to search for the User who worked on a previous instance of the case. Searches using this criterion can be exact or approximate.

Full Name

This attribute present in Creator, Current and Previous users, allows you to search by Full Name of the User. Searches using this criteria can be exact or approximate.

 

The Query Form provides a text-type attribute.

Name

This attribute present in Creator, Current and Previous users, allows you to search by the user name of the User. Searches using this criteria can be exact or approximate.  

 

The Query Form provides a text-type attribute.

Position

This attribute present in Creator, Current and Previous users, allows you to search by the name of the position of the user. Searches using this criterion can be exact or approximate.

 

The Query Form provides a text-type attribute.
