Data Act Switching & Data Portability

Overview

This section applies to customers established in the European Union or European Economic Area.

 

In accordance with the EU Data Act, Bizagi is committed to supporting your right to switch service providers and to export your data at the end of your contract.

As part of our offboarding procedure, we provide standard assistance to help you can retrieve your information efficiently and securely.

 

When your contract ends, you have 60 days Retrieval Period (as described in your agreement) to request a backup (BACPAC) of the production database used by your Bizagi Cloud Services. This backup contains your business data and related metadata stored in that database, in line with our definition of Exportable Data.

 

To initiate the process, open a support you must create a ticket requesting the BACPAC. Bizagi support will provide you with a SAS token with the location of the BACPAC, and will send a separate email with the password.

There is no additional charge for generating or downloading the BACPAC during your active subscription and the Retrieval Period.

 

Our documentation explains how to restore the BACPAC in your own SQL environment (including prerequisites such as supported SQL versions and permissions) and how to query and export your data using commonly available SQL tools (for example Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or Azure Data Studio) . These tools are not provided by Bizagi; you are free to choose the ones that best suit your environment.

 

Once you have restored your database, you can navigate and consult your information in SQL using the same procedures described for the ODS in our documentation: Navigate and extract information from ODS. Because the ODS is a copy of your production environment, the navigation and extraction steps are identical.
