Bizagi's AI approach

Bizagi’s AI strategy unifies conversational analytics, generative AI-powered automation, and workflow optimization in a single platform. By combining automation and AI, Bizagi is uniquely positioned to deliver measurable business impact while maintaining robust data security and governance.

As a cloud-native platform running on Microsoft Azure, Bizagi leverages Microsoft’s leadership in generative AI by embedding Azure’s Private OpenAI GPT service directly into its automation suite.

This approach not only accelerates AI adoption today but also ensures readiness for future OpenAI advancements, all within a secure, enterprise-grade environment.

Sensitive business data always remains within the protected Bizagi and Azure perimeter, and each customer’s data and AI services are strictly isolated to guarantee compliance and confidentiality. Access to information is meticulously controlled through Data Domains and Persona definitions at every layer.

The following overview explains how these AI elements interconnect, as illustrated in the diagram below.

Bizagi AI Architecture Overview

AI Services - Overview

Bizagi’s AI platform is composed of three main service types:

AI Agents

AI Agents are reusable, GenAI-powered assistants that can automate, analyze, and enhance business processes. They are easily configured in the AI Hub, with no prompt engineering or data science expertise required.

Agents can be tailored for a wide range of tasks, including content generation, document analysis, classification, summarization, prioritization, obfuscation, translation, and categorization. They also integrate seamlessly with external systems, such as MCP and other preconfigured connectors

AI Workers

These are AI-driven workflow optimizers that automate repetitive tasks and data entry.

Workers analyze form fields, business rules, and historical data to pre-fill or validate information, improving efficiency and accuracy.

AI Workers can operate in supervised or autonomous modes and they learn from user feedback to provide better responses through time.

Ask Ada

A conversational analytics assistant that lets users interact with business data using natural language.

Ask Ada leverages context, data domains, and Bizagi’s secure environment to answer questions, generate visualizations, and provide insights—always respecting data governance.

Knowledge Layer (RAG)

At the heart of Bizagi’s AI is the Knowledge (RAG) layer:

This layer enables AI services to access and use structured business knowledge, combining real-time data retrieval with generative AI for accurate, context-aware responses.

Knowledge can come from Bizagi Data (entities) or uploaded files (documents, manuals), all managed via Knowledge Base Catalogs.

While AI Agents can leverage all types of knowledge, AI Workers and Ask Ada primarily rely on Bizagi File Knowledge to deliver business-specific, reliable answers.

Storage Services

Bizagi’s AI services are tightly integrated with your business data, as shown in the diagram.

Vector Store: Stores embeddings and vectorized knowledge for fast retrieval by AI services.

Runtime DB: The operational database for live process data.

Read-only Replica (ODS): Ensures that analytics and AI queries do not impact production performance.

All data access is governed by strict security and privacy controls.
