Overview
In the deployment package configuration, the Replace target environment metadata check box allows administrators to collect all the settings made in the Development environment inside the Work Portal as well as Security options. Also, when this checkbox is enabled all the override metadata will be replaced in the Target environment. The checkbox identifies overrides in the Target environment and overwrites the metadata prioritizing the deployment configuration.
The following table shows the objects that are subject to being overwritten in the Production environment. By default, new deployed values from Development will overwrite previously deployed settings. Once a change is made in the Production environment, deployments from the Development environment will not change the value given. However, if Replace target environment metadata check is enabled, it will always overwrite what is in the Production environment.

If the object has a value other than N/A in the Advanced Option column, it means that it is included in the advanced options of the deployment. When the value is N/A, the objects of that type cannot be selected or specified and, in a deployment, they can end up being included due to dependencies.
