How to create reports with BI
If you want to go beyond process and data analysis, extending Bizagi's built-in reporting features, Bizagi's data can be extracted and analyzed as you see fit. You can create reports with the most updated information in your project, and achieve a Business Data Analysis through the Business insights Datasets service.
Bizagi Business Insights Datasets service is a cloud-base application to go beyond process execution and work with your data, integrating reporting tools of your choice. With the Datasets service, you can push the desired information (e.g. Data Model attributes or Runtime Entities) at the right moment of the case flow, exposing and saving it in a denormalized manner in the Cloud. This is an additional service, purchased separately from your Automation Service subscription.

You need to buy a subscription to Business Insights, to extend Bizagi's built-in reporting features.
1.Define the data structure of your report
The fist step to creating a dataset and connecting a third-party reporting tool, is to define is the report you want to obtain. Evaluate the data in your datamodel and define which are the attributes to be used in the report.
When your structure has been defined you can create a dataset manually, by defining each attribute that the report will contain. Or you can create it based on a CSV file.
Read carefully the Business key step.
3.Upload historical data data to the dataset (optional)
You can upload a CSV file with historical data that you want to include to your dataset.
4.Define the moment in time that the chosen attributes will be pushed to the dataset
Clearly identify at which point in your processes the information is ready to be sent to the dataset.
To make the most out of your stored information, you need to make sure that the data is final so it is a good source for analysis.
5.Connect the processes to feed the dataset
From the defined dataset, download the connector and obtain the endpoint and access keys to use the connector in Bizagi Studio.
The downloaded connector should be used on the point defined in the previous step.
Bizagi processes continuously feed (provide data) the dataset on a case-by-case basis.
6.Consume the dataset's information from a third-party tool
Obtain the service endpoint and its access keys to let you use the connector in the third-party tool of your choice. You need to configure the connection in your external application.
