Working Time and Calendars

Overview

Within organizations users and offices may use different time schemas in their daily schedules. Offices in different countries manage different holidays as well. These considerations must be taken into account in order to allow Bizagi to perform: appropriate date calculations to expire Activities, allocations based on availability, and setting of alarms.

Bizagi allows you to define working time and holidays schemas for each organization and region.

Example

Suppose you have a Process that includes an Activity with a 60 minute duration.

Your company works from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

You must define this Time Schema in Bizagi, and the following will be the conditions that Bizagi will handle to control its expiration:

If the Activity is created at 10:00 AM, the expected solution date will be the same day at 11:00 AM.

If the Activity is created at 12:30 PM, the expected solution date is the same day at 2:30 PM (The lunch hour allocation between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM is not taken into account because it is not a part of the working time schema)

If the Activity is created at 5:30 PM on Monday through Thursday, the expected solution date will be the following day at 9:30 AM.

If the Activity is created at 5:30 PM on a Friday, the expected solution date is the following Monday at 9:30 AM.
