Manual installation of Widgets is an useful option in the following scenarios:
1. When you wish to include a Widget from the Widget Xchange, but your Bizagi Studio machine does not have internet access (to www.bizagi.com).
2. When you already have the Widget as a local file, either because you created it yourself or someone from your team shared it with you.
This section illustrates how to install Widgets by parting from having the .bwg Widget file locally.
What it is carried out in this approach, is to register that .bwg file within Bizagi Studio, where you have a list of all of your project's included Widgets.
The steps described below applies both when installing a Widget or reinstalling a newer version of the same Widget (upgrading it).
The information presented below refers to one of the two ways there are to install Widgets.
For more information about Widgets and other ways to install them, refer to Installing Widgets.
For a manual installation, you will need to have the .bwg Widget file locally, either by having downloaded it from the Widget Xchange, or when being created by you through the Widget Editor.
For more information regarding Widgets creation and the Widget Editor, refer to Creating Widgets.
Manual installation or reinstallation
Once you have a saved Widget .bwg file, make sure it is placed locally in the Bizagi Studio workstation (e.g. by using a memory stick).
Then, upload the Widget from the Widgets administration options found in Bizagi Studio.
To install or reinstall, use the Add/Update button:
When registering the Widget, it will show upon completion and no error message should be thrown in this process.
From this point on, your forms will have this Widget available to use in your Bizagi project, listed under its given Bizagi category in the Controls tab:
At this point, the Widget is ready to use and you just need to configure its parameters.
Configuring parameters is done in the same fashion as parameters are configured for controls in Bizagi.
For each of the Widgets at the Widget Xchange, its configuration parameters are described at the detailed information located for that Widget under Details.
Similarly and through these options, you may delete Widgets that you do not plan to use in your project.
Prior to this, ensure that Widgets to delete are not being used by your process forms.
