When running your processes in a .NET platform, Bizagi automatically configures your project in all of its environments: Development, Test and Production.
Configuration of the Bizagi operating environment for process execution (Bizagi Engine, database server) is done usually as described below:
1. In the Development environment (Authoring), it is done when the project is initially created.
For this environment, you first install Bizagi making sure that the Development components (Bizagi Studio) are selected.
This installation will ensure that any additional components required by the Studio or the Process engine (i.e the .NET Framework) are included as well.
2. In the Test and Production environment, it is usually done throughout the One-click Deployment feature provided by Bizagi Studio.
That is, once you have completed the implementation phases of your processes and you decide to publish them to a Test or Production environment, Bizagi will provide a wizard that creates the environment and configures it.
For more information about the One-click Deployment, refer to Deploying your processes.
To use the One-click Deployment feature, you will also need to install Bizagi in the server you choose to be your Test/Production server, but this time, you don't need Bizagi Studio and you just need the Test / Production components.
This installation will ensure that any additional components required by the Process engine (i.e the .NET Framework) are included as well.
In sophisticated scenarios, where installing Bizagi through its installer is not an option, or using the One-click Deployment does not fit your needs, then you will may configure the Production or Test operating environment, manually step by step.
Such scenarios mainly involve:
•The One-click Deployment is not suitable because the Production server is not within the same network of the Development server (the need of an offline Deployment).
•It is strictly required to manually install components, setup Bizagi and apply Deployments (due to corporate policies or use of a deployment software).
If you wish to configure your Production or Test operating environment manually, step by step, follow the chapters in this section.
