IIS configuration

Overview

Bizagi Engine provides a Work Portal as a web-based application through which the end users log in to access the process Workflows and work on their daily Activities.

In Bizagi projects running in a .NET platform, this Work Portal is set in the IIS (Microsoft's Internet Information Services).

Recall that the IIS configuration mentioned in this section and links above, refer to a Bizagi Engine production environment setup.

Therefore, Windows Server OS are detailed and strongly recommended.

Important

Keep in mind:

1. If you have installed the IIS afterwards installing Bizagi (or a Microsoft .NET Framework), then it is likely that you will need to register the ASP.NET framework in the IIS.

To do this, you may use the aspnet_regiis -i command from the framework's path (by default at C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[version]\)

2. If the IIS is installed after having installed Bizagi (its service called Server Operations Service), then you may reinstall this service or you may run the following commands:

%systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\APPCMD unlock config -section:system.webServer/httpCompression

%systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\APPCMD unlock config -section:system.webServer/serverRuntime

3. The IIS has to have the default site called Default Web site, given that Bizagi will create the Work Portal for your projects in there.
