Management Console Web

Overview

As part of the Bizagi PaaS subscription, you have the possibility to access Bizagi's  Management Console Web. It essentially is a lightweight Management Console with a very specific set of useful features: from the  MC Web you can access information regarding Traces and Event logs from an already deployed process.

Information on what it can do, how to access it and who can access it, is going to be detailed in this article.

How to get to the Management Console Web

Access your Bizagi Management Portal to be presented with a screen similar to the one below.

The management portal will display all subscriptions to Bizagi PaaS that you are a part of. Click on the subscription that hosts the project you wish to review via the MC Web. The management portal will redirect you to that specific subscription's options.

A new tab presenting the Management Console Web will be automatically launched, offering its 2 main options: Tracing and Event logs.

Notice that the URL of the Management Console is similar to that of the Work Portal, the only difference is that it will have a "manage-" before the same URL of your Work Portal.

What you can do with the Web Management Console

As mentioned previously, the Management Console Web allows you to browse Tracing and Event logs files generated during the execution of your deployed project.

Tracing

If you have Traces set up on your project, all files generated as a result of them will be accessible under this section. Click on the Tracing option on the left panel of the MC Web or on the Tracing box if you are located on the overviews screen. You will be redirected to the tracing details, as shown in the image below.

In the previous image, 4 different features where highlighted, those are detailed in the following list:

1. Filters: Using the Date from and Date to inputs, as well as the File name input, you can limit the list of the files displayed.

2. Select files: By ticking a set of files you are selecting them to be able to bulk-delete them. Notice how when you tick a file, a delete option is displayed on the upper right corner of the screen.

3. View: When you click this button on a specific file, an online preview of the file will display. This is useful if you wish to quickly check a couple of records or to get an idea of the information contained on the file.

4. Export: You might want to download a Trace file for your own reference or analysis. In such case, when you click this button you will be prompted to input a file name and to choose a location for the Trace file on your machine.

For additional information regarding traces, refer to this article.

Event log

Bizagi, just as any other application, generates errors or warnings that can be accessed through the Event log. This messages are generated in multiple situations, for example: a case execution comes to a point where an activity action involving an incorrect Xpath is executed; or when flushing temporary files.

The Event log option in the MC Web allows users to consult event files generated during the execution of a project deployed on Bizagi PaaS.

When you click on the Event log option either on the left panel or from the Overview screen you will be redirected to Event log details, as shown below.
