Scalability

Overview

For each environment they request, customers are able to choose a Performance Level to fit their needs and budget. Performance Levels are distinguished by storage capacity and performance, which are measured in Bizagi Performance Units (BPUs).

Scaling up and down

Customers can scale up and down the Performance Level of any environment at any time to match demand.

Scaling up and down is done by the client via self-service, through the use of appropriate options available in the Management Portal.

If a client requests a change, they will be assigned a new set of resources to support the new Performance Level (number of BPUs) within a short period of time, and this will be done without interrupting the operation of the system.

What is a BPU?

A BPU is a unit of measurement, which is used to measure the resources (capacity and performance) that are guaranteed to be available in an environment to execute 10,000 steps per month. A step is any shape in a process diagram except for the end shape.

To determine the BPUs required (the correct Performance Level required storage capacity), customers should estimate the expected number of steps they will execute per month, and divide this by 10,000.

You can also use our BPUs calculator to estimate your Performance Level.
