Bizagi Datasets - Alpha version
When you have a subscription in Automation Service, you can use different Cloud applications provided by Bizagi.
Cloud applications provided by Bizagi let you go beyond process execution, and work with your data by exploring fields such as artificial intelligence (predictive analysis), by integrating reporting tools of your choice, or by creating portals centered around a richer user experience.
Datasets for Automation Service, is an application which lets you expose and save your Bizagi processes’ business information in the Cloud so you can use it for specific purposes (e.g. creating reports with third party tools or for AI analysis).
You can easily configure how and when this information is extracted from processes in Bizagi so you make sure data preparation (cleaning, selecting data) so your Datasets contain high-quality data that is final and reliable when consumed.
The following steps summarize how you would work with Dataset:
1. Create a Dataset and define its data structure.
At this point you can choose to import initial data.
2. Connect Bizagi processes to the Dataset by means of a RESTful service.
Bizagi processes continuously feed the Dataset on a case-by-case basis.
3. Run predictive analysis (via Bizagi Artificial Intelligence features) or create reports with the information in the Dataset.
You configure the invocation by consuming information from an OData service endpoint.
Consider these concepts regarding how Datasets are intended to work:
1. Datasets store business information in a denormalized manner.
Datasets hold data in a single table-like structure (without relationships), the way a csv file does.
2. Datasets have final information.
Datasets provide the means for you to easily configure how and when information is extracted from business processes.
You make sure that data is final and that it doesn't need further preparation once it resides in the Dataset.
3. Dataset capacity.
There are no limits to the number of Datasets or Dataset environments you may create in an application.
Similarly, each Dataset or Dataset environment does not have a limit for the amount of data it can store.
However, bear in mind that Datasets consume storage from the total storage capacity supported by the performance tier of your enterprise Automation Service subscription.
